Lily's final post for room 10!!!
I have been in room 10 for 1 year now and my teacher is the wonderful Miss Main!
I am proud of my stanine because at the beginning of the year I was stanine 5 which is an average score for my age then in term 4 I improved by a MILLION I got stanine 9 which is way above my average score and I got highest score in room 10!
My favorite memory with room 10 would have to be the D.A.R.E trip because I got a whole day just hanging out with my friends at the movies and The Lido Aquatic Center. I liked going to the movies because we got a sneak peak at the movie SMURFS before it even came out!
I have enjoyed just being a Room 10 student because we get to do a lot of fun stuff that other classes didn't do such as Wearable arts, plays and hanging out with a very wonderful teacher Miss Main.
I will miss Miss Main when she leaves Room 10 to go to Room 20.

Inter-school Cross Country
Congratulations to Lily M, Sarah and Hayden for making it into the inter-school cross country team. You have all worked so hard to get here, Room 10 hope you make it into the competing team!!!!

WALT write descriptive sanpshots of a moment in time
Today in writing we discussed the way felt, what we saw, smelt and heard when we were waiting to say our Mihi at the Marae. This will help us to write our snapshot with lots of detail. For a lot of us this was our big risk we were taking and for most of us emotions were running high.

Athletics Champs
After a long wait we finally found out the LSS athletics champions! Well done to Sarah who is the overall Year 6 girl champion. Sarah got first in shotput, high jump and sprints. Also, well done to Lily M who is the overall 3rd Year 5 girl. Lily got first in shotput, second in sprints and third in long jump.

Yesterday we held job interviews to find our C.E.O.s of our companies. It was a daunting task for our applicants but we now have 4 very capable children as our C.E.O.s and I look forward to working with them!!!!

Duffy Roadshow
On 11 April we were very lucky and had the Duffy Roadshow come to L.S.S!!!!!!! It was about someone that wanted to close all public library's down!!!!!! But Duffy and Tiake stopped him. He thought everyone wanted to play golf more so we had a debate, luckily we have been learning how to persuade others. We won!!!!!! We learned about BRR (and no it's not just a sound you make when you are cold) At the library we Borrow, Read and Return - this allows all children to be able to read cool books and go on awesome adventures.
